Mercedes-Benz Vision V Concept Debuts in Shanghai, Targets 2026 Production

This afternoon, at the Mercedes-Benz Brand Tech Day, the Vision V made its debut.



At 5,486 mm long, 2,100 mm wide and 1,892 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,530 mm, the Vision V is a luxury electric MPV based on the VAN.EA architecture. It will enter mass production in China by the end of 2026.



The Vision V features a distinctive front - end with a light strip and a new - style chrome grille. There are three horizontal glass - illuminated blades on the grille, surrounded by nearly 200 lighting units. The tail - light ring, made of over 450 3D - illuminated blades, doubles as a brake - light system.



On the roof, there's a solar module with 168 IBC cells, offering 24.3% conversion efficiency and a maximum output of 539 W.



Inside, the front seats are part of an intelligent cockpit with the MB.OS architecture, featuring a triple - screen display and a column - shifting design.


The second - row sliding door opens to reveal a 65 - inch 4K screen spanning the two A - pillars. This flexible screen retracts into the floor. The rear - seat entertainment system supports Dolby Atmos and includes 42 speakers.



Based on the VAN.EA platform, the new car will feature an innovative suspension and rear - axle steering. It will also support 4MATIC four - wheel drive and an 800 - volt electrical architecture.
