On the evening of April 16, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) officially released the 《Announcement of the 394th Batch of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products》. ONVO's new flagship model, the L90, appeared on the list.

The ONVO L90 has been filed with two model variants, and its declared exterior color is gold, which has become the first point of contention following the release of its official images: some find the color outdated, while others consider it grand and luxurious.
Another highly discussed aspect is its large size. Let’s review this based on MIIT data.
The ONVO L90 has dimensions of 5,145 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, and 1,766 (or 1,786) mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,110 mm. Its length exceeds that of the ES8 on the NT2 platform by 46 mm, firmly positioning it as a large SUV.
In terms of design, the ONVO L90 follows a more traditional luxury style, featuring a short front overhang and a long wheelbase. This not only gives it an imposing character but also offers greater potential for space utilization.

Moving on to the configuration differences between the two variants. The ONVO L90 uses the same motor as the NIO ET9, with a single motor power output of up to 340 kW, and a combined power output of up to 440 kW for the all-wheel-drive version. Notably, the front motor in the dual-motor variant has only 100 kW of power. This lightweight front motor leaves room for speculation about the potential capacity of the front trunk.
Following the announcement, Shen Fei, the newly appointed president of ONVO, revealed that the ONVO L90 will come standard with an 85 kWh battery. Perhaps this is an expected answer, given the L90’s substantial size.
From the filing images, it is evident that the ONVO L90 does not feature LiDAR sensors. Instead, it retains the same pure vision-based hardware configuration as the L60, leaving its autonomous driving capabilities open to speculation.

In terms of optional features, the ONVO L90 offers choices such as different wheel designs, rear badges, and electric running boards.
The core competitors for the ONVO L90 are not only traditional rivals like the LiAuto L9 and AITO M9 but also the Xiaomi YU7, which poses a "traffic siphoning effect." As the market for pure electric three-row SUVs heats up, the ONVO L90 faces significant challenges if it is to break through the highly competitive family-focused pure electric SUV market.
