Tesla's China website now shows that the Model S and Model X are no longer available for "ordering new vehicles." This means that consumers can no longer customize these two models directly through the website and can only choose from available stock or used cars.

On Tesla's China website, the Model X Plaid version is now out of stock (priced at 902,900 yuan), while the Model S still has inventory available in cities like Beijing and Shanghai (starting at 759,900 yuan). Other provinces mostly show "no vehicles available"

It is worth noting that the Model S and Model X sold in China by Tesla are produced at the Fremont factory in California, USA. This fact brings to mind the recent adjustments in US tariff policies.
On April 3, the 25% tariff on imported vehicles previously announced by US President Trump officially came into effect. According to the latest tariff regulations: The US has imposed a 145% tariff on imported vehicles from China. As a US-based automaker, Tesla's imported models sold in China, the Model S and Model X, will also be affected.
From the perspective of Chinese automakers, the US tariff policy does not seem to have caused much of an impact,Data shows that in 2024, China exported only 116,138 passenger vehicles to the US, accounting for just 1.81% of China's total vehicle exports, which also includes vehicles exported to the US from Tesla's Shanghai factory.
