Recently, Yiche released the January sales rankings for pure electric vehicle models, categorized by their price ranges. Unlike the current marketing strategy of lumping everything together, these rankings highlight distinct sales characteristics, better reflecting consumer preferences and brand competition across different price segments.

In the market below 100,000 yuan, sales performance was particularly impressive, with the top three models each exceeding 17,000 units. Among them, the Geely Xingyuan took the lead with 22,300 units sold, successfully capturing opportunities in this segment. Consumers in this market prioritize cost-effectiveness, and the Geely Xingyuan has emerged as a standout in the low-price pure electric vehicle category due to its excellent overall performance.

In the 100,000 to 200,000 yuan market, XPeng stood out, securing two spots in the top five. The XPeng M03, in particular, led by a significant margin, becoming the only model in this price range to surpass 10,000 units in January. Following closely were two models from BYD, while the Geely Galaxy E5 ranked fifth. Overall, the top ten in this mass market were dominated by brands like XPeng, BYD, Geely, Aion, and Leapmotor, indicating fierce competition.

In the 200,000 to 300,000 yuan market, the Tesla Model Y remained firmly in first place, but the Xiaomi SU7 followed closely with over 20,000 units sold, showcasing Xiaomi's strong brand momentum and Lei Jun's strategic prowess. The Zhijie R7 also performed well, just surpassing 10,000 units, while the Tesla Model 3 ranked fourth with 8,000 units. Surprisingly, the Nio Ledao L60 secured fifth place with 7,405 units, nearly matching the Model 3. As Nio's mass-market brand, the Ledao L60's sales performance during the Spring Festival month contrasted sharply with the negative online sentiment.

In the high-end pure electric market above 300,000 yuan, Nio's leading position was evident. The Nio ES6 was the only model to exceed 2,000 units, with nearly 3,000 units sold, making it the clear leader in the high-end segment. Nio occupied two spots in the top five and had six models in the top twenty, significantly outpacing other brands.

The high-end pure electric market has always been challenging, and even Huawei might not succeed in it. Nio's achievements are commendable. With the increasing deployment of battery swap stations—aiming for 5,000 this year—Nio's competitive moat will deepen. As market competition intensifies and consumer demands continue to evolve, brands will face greater challenges and opportunities in the future.
