The newly launched “Longquan II” is a 10-Ah all-solid-state battery, offering a high energy density of 300 Wh/kg and a volumetric energy density of 700 Wh/L.
On September 3, EVE Energy announced the official launch of its Chengdu mass-production base for solid-state batteries, marking the first successful rollout of its “Longquan II” all-solid-state battery.

According to Zhao Ruirui, Director of EVE Energy’s Solid-State Battery Institute, the Chengdu facility spans approximately 11,000 square meters and will eventually produce up to 500,000 cells annually.
The base is being constructed in two phases: Phase One, set for completion by December 2025, will support 60-Ah battery manufacturing, while Phase Two aims to deliver an annual output of 100 MWh by December 2026.
The newly launched “Longquan II” is a 10-Ah all-solid-state battery boasting an energy density of 300 Wh/kg and a volumetric energy density of 700 Wh/L. It is primarily designed for high-end applications including humanoid robots, low-altitude drones, and AI-enabled equipment.
Chairman Liu Jincheng stated that to achieve the 2025 targets of 400 Wh/kg and 1000 Wh/L, the company will commit extensive capital, equipment, and R&D resources to accelerate the commercialization of all-solid-state batteries.

Solid-state technology has become a key battleground in the battery industry. In May, CATL indicated that major scientific challenges in solid-state batteries have been largely resolved, with small-scale production expected by 2027.
BYD completed pilot production of 60-Ah solid-state cells in 2024, achieving 400 Wh/kg, and plans limited vehicle integration between 2027 and 2029.
EVTank projects global semi-solid and solid-state battery shipments will exceed 10 GWh in 2025 and could surpass 600 GWh by 2030, with the market value topping RMB 250 billion ($34.8 billion).

According to SNE Research, EVE Energy ranked ninth in global EV battery installations from January to July 2025 with 17.4 GWh, up 87.8% from 9.3 GWh in the same period last year.
Notably, on the day of the announcement, solid-state battery concept stocks on the A-share market surged, with EVE Energy shares rising over 14% intraday and closing with an 11.05% gain.
