Geely Auto has released its financial results for the first quarter of 2025, reporting solid growth across all key metrics.

According to the report, Geely sold 704,000 vehicles in Q1, up 48% year-on-year and setting a new quarterly record. Bolstered by strong performance in both fuel and new energy segments, the company’s revenue reached RMB 72.5 billion, a 25% increase compared to the same period last year. Net profit attributable to the parent company surged by 264% to RMB 5.67 billion.

New energy vehicles (NEVs) have emerged as the main growth driver. Geely delivered 339,000 NEVs in Q1, pushing its domestic NEV penetration rate to 52.2%, well above the industry average.
Within that, the Galaxy brand contributed 260,000 units—a staggering 214% year-on-year increase. The Galaxy Star series has maintained monthly sales above 35,000 units for two consecutive months, with cumulative end-user sales reaching 117,000 units from January to April, topping the all-category sales chart. Premium EV brand Zeekr also showed continued momentum with 41,000 deliveries, marking a 25% increase. Lynk & Co reported Q1 sales of 73,000 units, up 19% year-on-year.

On the global front, Geely exported 90,000 vehicles in Q1, accelerating its international expansion strategy.
The brand has rolled out 10 models in markets including Saudi Arabia and Australia, and the EX5 is set to enter over 20 overseas markets this year. As of the end of March, Geely’s global sales network covered 86 countries with over 900 retail outlets. Lynk & Co operates 108 stores overseas, while Zeekr is now present in over 40 countries and regions. The Zeekr 7X is also set to begin deliveries in Europe.

From this financial report, it can be seen that Geely has a large scale and a well-organized pace. It can make progress in new energy vehicles and maintain its position in traditional fuel vehicles. Both its high-end brands and overseas expansion are moving forward, and its profits are holding up. In the current fiercely competitive automotive industry, this is already a very stable answer.
