The XPeng P7+ is the automaker’s latest model to join its “dual powertrain” lineup, following the G7 and X9.
On October 9, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released its “400th Batch of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products” announcement, in which the new XPeng P7+ officially appeared on the list.
The new P7+ has been filed in two configurations—all-electric and range-extended—marking XPeng’s third entry into its “dual power” system after the G7 and X9.
The P7+ measures 5,071 mm in length, 1,937 mm in width, and 1,512 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm, positioning it as a mid-to-large-size sedan. Compared with the current P7+, the new version is 15 mm longer.
The range-extended P7+ is equipped with a 1.5L engine delivering a maximum output of 110 kW, identical to the setup in the G7 range-extended version. The vehicle uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries supplied by EVE Energy.
Additionally, the new P7+ will feature XPeng’s “Kunpeng Super Range-Extension System,” which supports an 800V high-voltage platform and 5C ultra-fast charging. The system enables an 80% recharge in just 12 minutes.

In terms of design, both the all-electric and range-extended versions share a similar overall appearance. Compared to the current model, the new P7+ adopts a redesigned front fascia with a larger active air intake grille and an expanded lower black trim, giving the car a more cohesive and balanced visual impression.
To distinguish the range-extended variant, the P7+ features a new “Power X” badge on the rear, indicating its hybrid powertrain. It also adopts a through-type taillight design for a cleaner and more layered look. The rear bumper is now painted in body color, lowering the visual center of gravity and enhancing the car’s overall stability and sophistication.

It is worth noting that alongside the P7+, the G6 range-extended version also appeared in the same MIIT batch. This aligns with XPeng CEO He Xiaopeng’s statement at the Munich Auto Show that all future XPeng pure electric models will also offer range-extended variants.
As of September, cumulative deliveries of the XPeng P7+ have exceeded 77,000 units. Since its launch, it has remained the top-selling mid-to-large all-electric sedan in the RMB 150,000–200,000 ($21,040–$28,060) price range for ten consecutive months.
