Geely Q3 Revenue Records $12.59 Billion as EV Sales Surge, Eyes 3 Million Annual Deliveries

Geely’s Q3 2025 results showed record revenue and profit growth, driven by strong vehicle sales and NEV demand.

Geely Auto reported its third-quarter 2025 financial results on November 17. Key indicators showed strong momentum.

Revenue reached RMB 89.2 billion ($12.59 billion) in the third quarter, up 27% year-on-year and 15% quarter-on-quarter.
For January–September, revenue totaled RMB 239.5 billion ($33.53 billion), an increase of 26% year-on-year.
Core net profit attributable to shareholders for the quarter was RMB 3.96 billion ($558 million), up 19% year-on-year.
For the first nine months, core net profit reached RMB 10.62 billion ($1.49 billion), up 59%.

According to the company, Q3 2025 marked the highest quarterly revenue in Geely’s history.

Revenue and profit growth were driven primarily by higher sales volumes.

Geely sold 761,000 vehicles during the quarter, a new quarterly record, representing an 8% increase quarter-on-quarter and 43% year-on-year.

New-energy vehicle (NEV) sales totaled 443,000 units, up 15% quarter-on-quarter, with NEV penetration at 58% (62.6% in the domestic market). Cumulative sales for January–September stood at 1.168 million units.

The main driver of volume growth was the Geely Galaxy lineup, which sold 327,000 units in the quarter, up 170% year-on-year. The series’ market share for January–September reached 8.3%, up 130% year-on-year.

Geely Galaxy has repeatedly highlighted its ambition to become “the fastest NEV brand to reach 1 million annual sales,” and cumulative sales for January–October have already surpassed 1 million units.

Beyond steady sellers such as the Geely Starwish, the expanded Galaxy lineup has enabled broader market coverage.

For example, the Xingyao 8, launched May 9, has become the top-selling PHEV mid-size sedan in China.

Newer products such as Galaxy A7 and Galaxy M9 have also gained traction: Galaxy M9 surpassed 10,000 cumulative deliveries one month after launch.

Galaxy A7 achieved over 10,000 deliveries within 14 days of launch and sold 15,888 units in October, ranking fifth on China’s NEV sedan Top 10 list.

In the high-end NEV segment, Geely brands also performed solidly. Zeekr and Lynk & Co delivered 53,000 and 87,000 vehicles respectively in Q3, each increasing about 7% quarter-on-quarter.

In product expansion, Zeekr entered the hybrid market at the end of the third quarter with the launch of the Zeekr 9X.

Zeekr’s refreshed models, concentrated in October–November launches, are expected to support sales growth in the fourth quarter.

However, Geely faces a similar challenge to BYD—pushing upward into the premium market.

Zeekr’s Q3 deliveries declined compared with last year’s 55,000 units.

How to break through in the high-end segment remains a critical question for Geely.

The good news is that Zeekr has recently improved brand operations, including faster model iterations and proactive communication with customers regarding version updates.

Lynk & Co’s strong Q3 performance was driven by a more complete NEV lineup and sustained demand for the Lynk & Co 900.

Since its deliveries began in March, Lynk & Co 900 has consistently ranked among the top five large SUVs, surpassing 7,000 monthly deliveries from August to October.

In overseas markets, Geely exported 112,000 vehicles in Q3, up 19% quarter-on-quarter. NEV exports reached 36,000 units, up 66% quarter-on-quarter, achieving top rankings in several international market segments.

Overall, Geely continues to maintain upward momentum.

Notably, NEVs now account for more than half of total sales, marking a new growth curve for the company. With NEV volume rapidly approaching BYD’s, Geely’s transformation pace has exceeded market expectations.

At the same time, 2025 is a major product year for Geely. Beyond the already launched models, additional new products—including the first Galaxy flagship MPV, the Galaxy V900—will fill remaining portfolio gaps.

The V900 was officially announced this morning and will debut in four days at the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show.

From Geely’s Q3 earnings summary, the core focus for Q4 remains clear: sell more vehicles.

By the end of October, Geely sales had reached 2.477 million units, leaving a 17.4% gap to the full-year target of 3 million.

Do you think Geely can achieve its 3 million goal under such an intensive push?
