A brand-new platform and a refreshed design—can the new AITO M7 reclaim its former sales crown?
Recently, based on leaked spy shots circulating online, a set of speculative renderings of the all-new AITO M7 have emerged. Compared to the current M7, the new model adopts AITO’s latest family-style design, aligning more closely with the recently launched AITO M8. Traditional design elements resembling those of internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles—such as the large front grille—have been removed.
While the AITO brand may be unfamiliar to overseas markets, it already operates internationally under the name SERES, offering models like the SERES 5 and SERES 7. The SERES 7, based on the current AITO M7, made its debut at the Brussels Motor Show in April 2025 and is expected to enter markets such as Italy and the Netherlands later this year.
In mainland China, the current M7’s market performance has been highly reliant on facelift-driven sales spikes. In September 2024, it peaked at 17,940 units sold in a single month. However, by Week 25 of 2025, when total AITO brand weekly sales reached 10,900 units, the M7 accounted for only 1,800 units. In contrast, the more premium M8 sold 4,500 units that same week. Compared to direct rivals like the Li Auto L6, the M7’s momentum appears to be waning.

In terms of body size, the current M7 measures 5,020 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm. Based on available information, the all-new M7 will share its platform with the AITO M8, with a length exceeding 5,100 mm and a wheelbase between 2,900 mm and 3,000 mm.

The design language of the new model closely mirrors that of the AITO M8. It features the same Nebula headlights found on the M8 and M9, reinforcing a unified family aesthetic and greatly enhancing its visual appeal.
Benefiting from the new platform, the M7 will come standard with a suite of upgraded components:
- New drive motors
- Whale battery pack (Jujing Battery)
- Double wishbone front suspension
- EDC (Electronic Damping Control) continuous damping system
In addition, the latest Huawei ADS 4.0 autonomous driving system and HarmonyOS 5 smart cockpit—first introduced on the Voyah FREE+—are also expected to be integrated into the new M7.
The all-new AITO M7 is scheduled to enter the pre-sale phase in August and officially launch with deliveries in September. To avoid overlap with the Luxeed R7 and to maintain a clear price hierarchy alongside the AITO M8 and M9, the starting price of the new M7 is expected to be higher than the current model—likely ranging between ¥280,000 to ¥330,000 (~$38,500–$45,000 USD).

For comparison,Luxeed R7 currently starts at ¥249,800 and AITO M8 starts at ¥359,800.
