On the afternoon of June 24, Voyah FREE+ officially opened for pre-orders, with a starting price of ¥229,900 ($32,000).
As a comprehensive upgrade of the original Voyah FREE, the FREE+ has undergone four years of refinement, incorporating 1,366 upgrades across areas such as smart cockpit systems, driver assistance, comfort and convenience, chassis tuning, and safety configuration.

Among the most anticipated features are the Huawei ADS 4.0 (Qiankun Intelligent Driving System) and HarmonySpace 5 smart cockpit—both of which come standard across the lineup. The vehicle also features a full-aluminum chassis and EDC Magic Carpet adaptive suspension.

In terms of design, the FREE+ adopts a more futuristic and tech-forward look compared to its predecessor. It features a full-width LED “curtain” light strip at the front and a vented, seamless lower grille. The rear sees design tweaks around the D-pillar and a more refined rear spoiler. The model also comes standard with suction doors, which remain functional in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 50°C.

Inside, the FREE+ is equipped with a 15.6-inch 2K ultra-clear display supporting five-screen interaction. Rear passengers benefit from a MagLink dock, compatible with tablets from multiple brands, enabling independent entertainment and central control interaction. The in-car audio system, Voyah Sound, includes 22 speakers, a 7.1.4 panoramic surround sound system, dual headrest speakers, and supports simulated sports car engine sounds.
As the first mass-production model from the “Huawei ecosystem” to feature the HarmonySpace 5 cockpit, the FREE+ aims to redefine intelligent interaction and ecosystem-level connectivity.
The system integrates a cloud-based speech engine with features such as multi-intent recognition, continuous dialogue, and zonal voice command tracking. The AI assistant “Xiao Yi” learns user habits to optimize interactions. Four scenario-based modes are also offered: Nap, Car Wash, Leave Without Shutdown, and Camping, each automatically adjusting cabin parameters to match user needs.

In terms of intelligent driving, the FREE+ will be equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 4.0 post-launch. It includes 29 sensors, such as: 1 x 192-line LiDAR, 1 x 4D millimeter-wave radar, 2 x rear corner radars, 7 x HD cameras, 4 x surround-view cameras, 12 x ultrasonic radars, 1 x driver monitoring (DMS) camera, and 1 x occupancy monitoring (OMS) camera.
The system uses a fusion of LiDAR and vision technologies. Once smart driving is activated, small blue indicator lights embedded in the side mirrors and rear logo will illuminate to notify surrounding vehicles.
Under the hood, the vehicle retains a range-extended powertrain, pairing a 1.5T engine with electric motors. Two variants will be available—FWD version: 215 kW peak motor power and AWD version: 350 kW combined peak power (Range extender engine: 95 kW output).
With its comprehensive refresh and full-stack smart driving capabilities, could the Voyah FREE+ become the brand’s next breakout success?
