WeRide now operates autonomous driving development, testing, and commercial services in over 30 cities across 11 countries.
On October 23, WeRide announced that its latest-generation Robotaxi model, the GXR, has been named to Fortune China’s 2025 Best Design list.

The GXR is a mass-produced Robotaxi designed specifically for urban mobility scenarios, equipped with Level 4 autonomous driving capabilities. It can operate stably under complex conditions such as rush-hour congestion, mixed traffic, and nighttime highways.
The vehicle features the world’s first high-performance computing platform built on NVIDIA’s DRIVE Thor X chip—HPC 3.0—which delivers over 20 quadrillion operations per second.
It also integrates WeRide’s proprietary Sensor Suit 5.6 system, capable of maintaining precise perception in low-visibility conditions such as nighttime, rain, fog, snow, or smog.

For passenger comfort, the GXR adopts a pillarless B-column design, providing spacious access and a separate luggage area. The second row features lounge-style seats, complemented by voice-controlled sliding doors.
The cabin accommodates up to five passengers and supports intelligent functions such as voice media playback and remote climate control.
The launch of the GXR marks a key milestone in WeRide’s global Robotaxi network expansion. The company has accelerated its international deployment this year, launching its first Robotaxi trial operation in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in July.
In September, the GXR began testing in Singapore and simultaneously started 24-hour fully driverless commercial operations in Guangzhou’s Huangpu District. Earlier this month, the model entered pilot operation in the downtown area of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

According to WeRide’s latest financial report, the company recorded revenue of RMB 127 million in the second quarter of 2025, up 60.8% year-on-year. Robotaxi revenue reached RMB 45.9 million, surging 836.7% year-on-year, setting a new quarterly record.
Currently, WeRide operates autonomous driving R&D, testing, and commercial services in more than 30 cities across 11 countries. It remains the only technology company holding autonomous driving permits in seven nations: China, the United States, Singapore, France, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Belgium.
