The Passenger Vehicle Intelligence Index is projected to maintain a “quarter-by-quarter increase” from October to December 2025.

On October 31, the Passenger Car Market Information Joint Division of the China Automobile Dealers Association released the passenger vehicle intelligentization index for September 2025.

Among the components, the intelligent cockpit index was 38.5; the intelligent driving index was 40.1; and the extra-cabin intelligentization index was 18.5, with all three indicators showing an upward trend.

This upward trend is primarily driven by multiple factors, including policy incentives (such as old-for-new vehicle replacement programs, local subsidies, the countdown to new energy vehicle purchase tax incentives, and auto consumption loan interest subsidies), market demand (the traditional peak season of “Golden September and Silver October,” coupled with automaker promotions and the intensive launch of new models), and technological advancements. The market share of new energy vehicles with higher levels of intelligentization continues to rise.
