Smart #6 is expected to debut as a BEV model, with a PHEV variant to follow, supporting further volume expansion.
On November 14, spy photos of a new Smart sedan surfaced online, with multiple sources indicating the model is expected to be named Smart #6, positioned as a mid-size sedan and equipped with a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) drivetrain.

The test vehicle in the images remains heavily camouflaged, leaving exterior details mostly obscured. The front fascia appears to feature rectangular headlights and a broad horizontal decorative bar across the center, visually reminiscent of design elements from Lynk & Co and Zeekr models, suggesting the vehicle may still be in an early testing stage.
From the side, the car adopts rounded exterior mirrors and a fastback-style roofline, while the rear likely uses a full-width tail-light design. Straight window lines retain signature Smart-brand styling cues.

Powertrain-wise, the Smart #6 will use a plug-in hybrid setup. As reference, the Smart #5 EHD launched last month pairs a 1.5T engine with peak output of 120 kW and a 200 kW electric motor, matched with a three-speed DHT hybrid transmission.
The #5 EHD offers 20 kWh and 41.46 kWh battery options, delivering 120 km and 252 km pure-electric ranges under the CLTC cycle, with a combined range of 1,483 km to 1,615 km.

The Smart #6 will be developed on the SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform jointly engineered by Geely and Smart, adopting the same PMA2+ sub-platform used by the Zeekr 007. It will be available in single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD variants.
The upcoming model will also feature an advanced 800V high-voltage architecture expected to support high-power fast charging. Using the Zeekr 007 price range (RMB 209,900–299,900 / $29,386–$41,986) as a reference, the starting price of the Smart #6 could be around RMB 250,000 ($35,000).
According to product plans, the Smart #6 is expected to debut as a pure electric model, with a PHEV variant to follow, supporting further volume expansion.
With the Smart #1 and #3 already in the market, the launch of the Smart #6 marks Smart’s entry into the competitive mid-size NEV sedan segment, where it will face direct competition from the Tesla Model 3 and Xiaomi SU7.
