The Tai 7 was officially launched and began deliveries on September 9, offering four variants priced between RMB 179,800–219,800 ($25,390–$31,040).
On November 27, BYD’s Fangchengbao brand announced that the Tai 7 has surpassed 50,000 cumulative sales within 80 days of launch, setting a record as the fastest boxy-style model to reach the 50,000-unit mark.

The milestone comes just one week after the company reported that total Tai-series sales had exceeded 100,000 units.
On November 19, Fangchengbao revealed that the Tai series achieved 100,000 deliveries in slightly more than seven months since the launch of the first model, establishing a new delivery record for a sub-series within Chinese automotive brands.
The Fangchengbao Tai lineup currently consists of two SUVs: the Tai 3 and Tai 7.
The Tai 3 was launched in April with pricing between RMB 133,800–193,800 ($18,900–$27,370), and surpassed 12,000 monthly sales in its second month on the market, becoming the top-selling pure-electric box-style vehicle.

The Tai 7 was officially launched and began deliveries on September 9, offering four configurations priced between RMB 179,800–219,800 ($25,172–$30,772), covering both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive versions.
In its first month, Tai 7 deliveries reached 11,674 units, with 90% of buyers choosing the four-wheel-drive variant.
During October, its first full delivery month, sales rose to 20,024 units, accounting for 65% of Tai-series volume.
It ranked second in the mid-to-large SUV segment behind Xiaomi’s YU7, while topping both the hybrid SUV category and the box-style segment.

The expansion of the Tai lineup is accelerating the overall scale of the Fangchengbao brand.
Last month, BYD announced that cumulative Fangchengbao sales had surpassed 200,000 units, with an average transaction price of RMB 238,800 ($33,720), ranking among the top three fastest-growing new energy brands.
According to official data, BYD sold 441,706 vehicles in October, marking a new high for the year.
From January to October 2025, cumulative sales reached 3,701,852 units, while total new-energy vehicle sales exceeded 14.2 million.
In October alone, Fangchengbao reported sales of 31,052 units, up 415.3% year-on-year and 28.7% month-on-month, surpassing the 30,000 monthly-sales mark for the first time.
As of the end of October, cumulative Fangchengbao sales stood at 208,464 units.
