On the evening of May 21, Voyah officially released images of its new all-electric coupe SUV, the Passion S.

According to the company’s roadmap, the new model will launch in mid-2026 and directly target the RMB 250,000 ($36,750) electric coupe SUV segment currently occupied by the Xiaomi YU7.

From a design perspective, the Passion S adopts a distinctly sport-oriented styling language. The vehicle features a long front hood, fastback-style roofline and low-slung body proportions.

Prominent sculpted lines on both sides of the hood are paired with an aggressive front bumper and enlarged air intakes.

At the rear, the vehicle adopts a large rear spoiler combined with a hollow aerodynamic diffuser panel. Independent air curtain structures are also integrated on both sides, underscoring the model’s strong aerodynamic focus.

The roof-mounted LiDAR sensor is also highly visible. Based on the unit’s size and external design, the vehicle is widely expected to adopt Huawei’s next-generation 896-line dual-optical-path LiDAR system.

The version shown in the official images is equipped with 21-inch gunmetal forged wheels paired with orange brake calipers.

Regulatory filings show that multiple wheel, brake caliper and caliper-cover color options will also be available.

According to previously disclosed filings with China’s MIIT, the Passion S measures 5,050 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width and 1,636 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm, placing it firmly within the mid-to-large SUV category.

Compared with the Xiaomi YU7, the vehicle is slightly larger overall.

In terms of powertrain, the new model will offer both rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive variants.

The rear-wheel-drive version delivers maximum output of 300 kW, while the dual-motor AWD variant reaches combined output of 475 kW.

Both versions use lithium iron phosphate battery packs and support 800V high-voltage ultra-fast charging.

For comparison, the rear-wheel-drive Xiaomi YU7 uses a single motor producing 235 kW. Purely from a specification standpoint, the Passion S offers notably more aggressive power output.

Over the past year, mid-to-large pure electric coupe SUVs have rapidly become one of the hottest segments in China’s new energy vehicle market.

Data from the China Automotive Data Research Institute showed that SUV sales reached 731,000 units in April alone, accounting for more than half of China’s total passenger vehicle market. New energy vehicles occupied the top three positions in cumulative SUV sales rankings.

From January to April this year, Xiaomi YU7 cumulative sales reached 81,600 units, second only to the Tesla Model Y’s 85,300 units, ranking second overall in China’s SUV market.
