BYD launched the third-generation Yuan Plus (sold overseas as the Atto 3) on May 21, priced at 119.9K–149.9K RMB ($ 17.6K–22.1K).

The model represents the largest update since launch. The new version is available only in China for now; overseas markets continue with the second-generation Atto 3.

Third-Generation Yuan Plus (Atto 3) Price

The SUV keeps BYD’s Dragon Face design. The front removes the chrome strip and triangular air intakes, adopting a clean closed layout with flat matrix headlights. Side lines are smoother. The rear bumper is refined. The roof has a floating design. Door handles are semi-hidden. Tail lights now feature a wave-pattern Chinese knot design.

Dimensions grow over the previous generation: 4665mm long, 1895mm wide, 1675mm tall, 2770mm wheelbase – up by 210mm, 20mm, 60mm, and 50mm respectively, improving cabin space.

Third-Generation Yuan Plus

Cabin updates include a 15.6-inch rotating screen and 16-speaker audio. The chassis, based on e-Platform 3.0 Evo, switches to rear-wheel drive. A five-link rear suspension and intelligent damping control system are added.

Driver assistance comes standard with vision-based support. An optional LiDAR package costs 12K RMB ($1.7K).

Powertrain offers 200kW and 240kW motor options. The top-spec model sprints 0-100km/h in 5.9 seconds, faster than the previous 7.3 seconds. Battery options are 57.5kWh and 68.5kWh with second-generation Blade Batteries, delivering 540km and 630km CLTC range. Flash-charging restores 10% to 97% in 9 minutes.

Nine new colors are available, including Dream Pink, Trendy Blue, Aura Green, Scenario Cyan, Air White, Line Gray, plus three dual-tone options.

Third-Generation Yuan Plus Provides Nine New Colors

As a key model, the Atto 3 sold 163.6K units in China in 2025, topping the A-segment EV SUV chart. Since going global in 2022, cumulative sales surpassed 1.1M units by April 2026, dominating Thailand, South Korea, and Australia from 2025 to 2026.
