- Xiaomi has returned the SU7 Ultra to Nürburgring testing with pronounced aero upgrades—larger front lip, canards, louver vents, aggressive skirts and a dual‑plane swan‑neck wing—suggesting a focused lap‑time push against Porsche.
- The on‑sale SU7 Ultra lists at RMB 529.9K (about $79.2K) and measures 4,997×1,963×1,445 mm, with a tri‑motor 1,138 kW (1,548 hp) setup, 1,770 N·m, 0–100 km/h in 1.98 seconds and 630 km CLTC range.
- Directly targets high‑performance EVs such as the Taycan Turbo GT, but modest Chinese registrations (50 in September) plus uncertain production intent, homologation, and margin pressure create delivery and scaling risk.
Overseas media have published spy photos of what appears to be a new Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype running the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The car shows clear aerodynamic upgrades over the version on sale, and its stance now sits closer to the SU7 Ultra Prototype.
The front bumper is redesigned, with a larger front lip and new side canards. New louver-style vents appear above the front wheels, and the side skirts are more aggressive than before.

In some shots, the huge carbon-ceramic brake discs glow red, hinting the braking system has also been reworked. The rear changes most: the car wears a dual-plane swan-neck wing, similar in shape and size to that of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
Xiaomi is also testing a new diffuser, possibly in carbon fiber, designed to work with the wing to add downforce. That extra grip could bring matching suspension changes, or even a more powerful drivetrain.
The Nürburgring run likely ties to Xiaomi’s lap-time duel with Porsche. In April 2025, the SU7 Ultra clocked 7:04.957. A year later, the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with Manthey Kit beat it with a 6:55.533. This new test reads as Xiaomi lining up another shot at Porsche.

Sales volume for the SU7 Ultra remains modest within China. Monthly insurance registrations hold in the dozens; the model logged 50 registrations in September. Low uptake links to its niche buyer base, leaving uncertainty over whether this revised variant will officially enter mass production and go on sale.
But, Xiaomi has repeatedly leveraged track lap records to boost attention for its models on sale, so the updated SU7 Ultra retains a shot at mass production.
For reference, the SU7 Ultra now on sale starts at RMB 529.9K ($79.2K), measuring 4,997 × 1,963 × 1,445 mm.

It uses a tri-motor all-wheel-drive setup with a combined 1,138 kW (1,548 hp) and 1,770 N·m of peak torque, hitting 0–100 km/h in 1.98 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h. Power comes from a 93.7 kWh CATL NCM battery good for 630 km CLTC.
