The 8,000-battery deployment includes 4,500 85-kWh packs and 3,500 60-kWh packs, with a total investment of approximately 600 million yuan.
On December 5, ONVO announced a nationwide plan to double the battery capacity at its swap stations. The plan involves deploying over 8,000 new battery packs into its swap network, with completion expected by mid-January next year.
Once completed, the number of ONVO batteries in the national swap network will more than double compared to pre-plan levels, which will help meet the anticipated surge in demand during the upcoming Spring Festival travel season. According to the plan, the deployment of these additional batteries was initiated ahead of schedule in November, and over 800 packs have already been deployed so far.
ONVO officials stated that this large-scale battery deployment is primarily driven by two considerations: first, to address the expected increase in swap demand during the imminent Spring Festival travel peak; and second, to provide long-term support for the brand’s rapidly growing user base.
Shen Fei, President of ONVO, revealed that this deployment plan will allocate more battery resources to northern regions. Additionally, more discounted battery upgrade vouchers will be made available, making it easier for users to upgrade to 85-kWh battery packs at a lower cost.

According to information obtained by ChinaEV Home, the 8,000 new battery packs to be deployed consist of 4,500 units of 85-kWh battery packs and 3,500 units of 60-kWh battery packs, representing a total investment of approximately 600 million yuan.
Furthermore, upon completion of this deployment phase, it is estimated that there will be around 15,000 ONVO battery packs available for users nationwide, averaging 6 to 7 packs per swap station.

With its sales continuing to climb, ONVO has become a significant growth driver for the Nio Group.
Data shows that in November 2025, ONVO delivered 11,794 new vehicles in a single month, contributing 32.5% of the Nio Group’s total sales for that period. Among these, the ONVO L90 has performed exceptionally well, achieving cumulative deliveries of 40,000 units within just four months of its launch.

Also today, the ONVO L60 Black Knight Edition was launched simultaneously.
This special edition is limited to 666 units, with a starting price of 211,900 yuan, which is 5,000 yuan higher than the standard version.

The most notable changes in this new edition are its fully blacked-out design, including darkened exterior features, 20-inch glossy black alloy wheels, a blackened logo, and an all-black interior. It also comes standard with foldable rear seats.
It is worth noting that this special edition does not currently support the optional 85-kWh battery pack; users can only upgrade to it at a later stage.
As of November 30, the total number of Nio’s battery swap stations across China has reached 3,602, of which 2,250 stations support ONVO models.
