Production capacity for the all-new ES8 in November is expected to increase by 70% compared to October. The delivery from the 20,000th to the 30,000th vehicle took just 19 days.
The all-new NIO ES8 completed its 30,000th delivery today, achieving this milestone in a mere 89 days from the first delivery.
This delivery pace is on par with that of the ONVO brand’s L90 model under the NIO Group, which also reached 30,000 deliveries within 86 days of its launch.

Looking back at the delivery journey of the all-new ES8:
Official deliveries for the all-new NIO ES8 commenced on September 21 this year. By October 31, the 10,000th unit was delivered at the Shanghai Nanxiang Delivery Center, setting the fastest record (41 days) for a pure electric model priced above 400,000 RMB to reach 10,000 deliveries.
Merely 29 days later, on November 29, the 20,000th all-new ES8 was delivered at the Shenzhen Bantian Delivery Center.
NIO executives had previously indicated that the production capacity for the all-new ES8 in November was expected to increase by 70% compared to October. Bolstered by this accelerated production, the delivery speed for the 30,000th unit further improved, taking only 19 days to go from 20,000 to 30,000 deliveries.

Despite this, production lines still face severe capacity pressure. The official website shows that the current delivery lead time for the all-new ES8 remains at 20-21 weeks, with production capacity for the first quarter of next year already fully booked in advance.
Beyond the pressure on vehicle production, the all-new ES8 also faces challenges with a supply shortage of expansion chips for the rear entertainment screens.
NIO officially stated that starting from vehicles manufactured on or after December 22, 2025, a new technical solution will be implemented for the rear-seat entertainment expansion function in the all-new ES8. The main impacts on user experience include: loss of support for USB drive local video playback, and inability to output the infotainment system’s display to an external screen via the USB-C port in the center console.
For users who lock their orders for the all-new ES8 by December 31, 2025, and receive vehicles with the new technical solution, the company will issue 15,000 points as compensation.
NIO has adjusted its technical solution very rapidly this time, prioritizing vehicle delivery assurance above all else.

NIO CEO William Li stated the “delivery rush” strategy targeting over 15,000 ES8 deliveries in December not only benefits users but also directly impacts Q4 profitability—ES8’s projected gross margin above 20% is key to achieving quarterly profit.
It is worth noting that to alleviate user anxiety over waiting, NIO introduced the “Assured Order Lock” policy early on. This policy stipulates that users facing a delivery lead time exceeding 8 weeks will receive waiting compensation at a rate of 500 points per day.

From a market perspective, the all-new ES8 has demonstrated strong competitiveness in the fiercely contested new energy large SUV segment.
The November sales ranking for new energy large SUVs shows the AITO M8 leading with 16,284 units, while the all-new ES8 secured second place with 10,689 units (a month-on-month increase of 59.5%), creating a clear gap from the third-place Zeekr 9X (8,121 units).
According to William Li, among the all-new ES8 buyers, 49.2% are adding or switching from German luxury brands, and 62.4% are transitioning from traditional luxury internal combustion engine vehicle ownership.
