Mass deliveries of IM5 and IM6 in Abu Dhabi are set for March–April, joining the locally available IM LS7.
On Feb. 5, SAIC-backed IM Motors announced that its intelligent EVs IM5 (sold as IM L6 in China) and IM6 (sold as IM LS6 in China) have officially entered the United Arab Emirates and Tunisia markets.

The move marks a new step in its Middle East and North Africa expansion, following earlier entries into multiple international markets.
In the Middle East market, the UAE serves as one of IM Motors’ most important strategic hubs. Following the opening of the Dubai flagship showroom in 2025, a new flagship showroom in Abu Dhabi is now under preparation.
According to plans, the IM5 and IM6 will begin mass deliveries between March and April this year.
Combined with the already locally sold IM LS7, IM Motors will establish a three-model lineup in the UAE and use it as a base to expand into neighboring Middle Eastern countries, aiming to cover the entire region within 2026.

Both the IM5 and IM6 are equipped with the IM AD intelligent driving assistance system co-developed by IM Motors and Momenta.
The system adopts a map-free, end-to-end technical route, offering adaptability to complex scenarios on UAE highway networks and Tunisia’s urban roads.
On the hardware side, the two models are built on an 800 V high-voltage platform and feature the “Lingxi” digital chassis along with four-wheel steering.
These configurations are designed to address practical demands in Middle Eastern and North African markets, including long-distance travel and charging efficiency.

Since the start of 2025, IM Motors has accelerated its overseas expansion pace, achieving market coverage across five continents and entering 16 major international markets, including Thailand, the UK, Australia and Norway.
According to official data, IM Motors delivered 5,017 vehicles in January 2026 and recorded cumulative deliveries of 81,017 units in full-year 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 23.7%.
The company also reported achieving full-cost profitability for the first time in December 2025, providing a financial foundation for continued overseas investment.
In terms of product planning, IM Motors CMO Li Weimeng previously disclosed around the company’s fifth anniversary that several new models, including the LS8, are scheduled for launch in 2026.
With the rollout in the UAE and Tunisia, IM Motors said it will continue to leverage SAIC Motor’s global resources and system capabilities to support a broader phase of international expansion.
