The images show that BYD has extended its Ocean Aesthetics 2.0 design language into the cabin. The front cockpit adopts a minimalist layout, with a narrow decorative band running through the entire interior to maintain a sense of layering.

The new car features a three-spoke steering wheel for the first time. Beneath the large horizontal central control screen are a wireless phone charging pad, hidden cup holders, and a number of physical buttons, balancing design appeal with practicality. In addition, the area under the center armrest has been hollowed out to provide extra storage space.

Moving to the second row, the Seal 08 offers an independent rear climate control system behind the center armrest, as well as a small foldable table attached to the back of the front passenger seat. The center rear seat position can also be folded down, likely providing cup holders and other features.

Notably, the new car adopts a split-pane panoramic sunroof design, with a beam running between the front and rear rows, which may somewhat compromise visibility and the sense of openness.

In terms of range, the battery capacity is 45.36 kWh, offering an electric range of 270–300 km, with a combined range exceeding 1,000 km.

On the intelligent driving front, the Seal 08 is equipped with a roof-mounted LiDAR and is expected to feature BYD’s “God’s Eye 5.0” advanced driver-assistance system, supporting urban navigation and other high-level autonomous driving functions.

The Seal 08 represents a key mission for BYD’s Ocean Network to break into the premium market. The new car is expected to be priced in the range of 200,000–300,000 RMB, which will put it in direct competition with popular models such as the Tesla Model 3 and XPeng P7i after launch.

According to the plan, the new car is scheduled to officially hit the market in the second quarter of 2026 and will make its debut during the Beijing Auto Show.
