On June 8, Maextro, the premium automotive brand under Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), officially released the promotional video of the V800.
Shortly afterward, Huawei Executive Director and Chairman of the Consumer Business Group Richard Yu reposted the launch video, saying the new model would explore ultra-premium MPV mobility scenarios.
The V800 becomes Maextro’s second production vehicle following the S800 sedan and marks the brand’s first entry into the large luxury MPV segment.
In terms of design, the V800 carries over the family styling language introduced by the S800. The front fascia adopts a closed-off design and features a large Maextro emblem at the center.
Unlike the S800, the new model replaces the previous C-shaped lighting signature with a more distinctive “7”-shaped lamp design.
Extensive chrome trim on both the upper and lower sections of the front end gives the vehicle a more traditional luxury MPV appearance.
The side profile also incorporates substantial chrome detailing, paired with disc-style wheels.
At the rear, vertically oriented taillights and a large tailgate opening are designed to enhance practicality for both business and family use.
The V800 first appeared in China’s latest Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) regulatory filing last month.
According to filing data, the vehicle measures 5,495 mm in length, 2,006 mm in width, and 1,850 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,430 mm.
Its overall length exceeds that of the Li Auto MEGA by 145 mm, making it one of the largest vehicles in the premium MPV segment.
Compared with existing high-end MPVs such as the Toyota Alphard, Lexus LM, and GWM’s Wey Gaoshan Executive Extended Edition, the V800 is significantly larger in overall dimensions.
The vehicle will offer multiple personalization options, including two-tone exterior finishes, different wheel designs, and alternative lighting configurations.
The third-row seats can also be folded and flipped to increase cargo flexibility.
Power comes from a 1.5-liter turbocharged range-extender system. The range-extender engine produces up to 127 kW, while the front and rear electric motors generate 160 kW and 230 kW, respectively.
The V800 is equipped with a 63.26 kWh battery pack and offers CLTC pure-electric ranges of 275 km and 265 km depending on the configuration.
The Maextro S800 sedan has already entered China’s million-yuan luxury car segment.
Given its larger size and MPV positioning, the V800 is widely expected to carry a price tag at least comparable to, if not higher than, the sedan.
Industry estimates suggest pricing could range from RMB 980,000 ($144,550) to RMB 1.28 million ($188,800), while high-spec versions could exceed RMB 1.5 million ($221,250).
Upon launch, the V800 is expected to compete directly with premium MPVs such as the Toyota Alphard and Lexus LM.
