Avatr Teases Product Refresh, Ensures Huawei ADS 4 OTA for All Owners

  • Over the next two months, Avatr will roll out updated versions of models, including the Avatr 06, 07, and 12.
  • During the product refresh period, the Avatr 06 and 12 will be offered with limited-time promotional incentives.

On August 15, Avatr unveiled a product refresh roadmap along with limited-time purchase incentives for in-stock vehicles.

The company announced that it will be among the first to equip its models with Huawei Advanced Driving System 4 (Huawei ADS 4) and HarmonyOS 5. All existing Avatr owners will be able to access these upgrades via over-the-air (OTA) updates. In parallel, several refreshed models are slated for release over the next two months.

Model-specific updates include:

  • Avatr 06 – To feature CATL’s 45 kWh Freevoy Super Hybrid Battery, debuting during the Chengdu Auto Show (August 29–September 7).
  • Avatr 07 – Having sold over 70,000 units in its first year on the market, the 2025 model will launch in late September, equipped with CATL’s 52 kWh Freevoy Super Hybrid Battery and other enhancements.
  • Avatr 12 – Set for a mid-October update, adding CATL’s 52 kWh Freevoy Super Hybrid Battery and a rear-facing LiDAR sensor.

Avatr stated that detailed specifications and benefit packages for the new models will be confirmed upon official release.

During this period, the automaker will run a clearance campaign on existing stock: current Avatr 07 models come with a RMB 15,000 ($2,070) cash discount and RMB 4,000 ($550) insurance subsidy, while the Avatr 12 offers RMB 10,000 ($1,380) off plus the same insurance benefit.

From August 14 to August 31, promotional starting prices are set at RMB 209,900 ($28,970) for the Avatr 06, RMB 219,900 ($30,340) for the Avatr 07, RMB 289,900 ($39,960) for the Avatr 11, and RMB 269,900 ($37,180) for the Avatr 12.

Additionally, from 24:00 on August 18, certain configurations will be gradually removed from the Avatr app due to parts supply constraints. Customers may opt for available stock or wait for the refreshed models to hit the market.
