NIO Power Delivers 1.9 M+ Power Swap and Charging Services During China’s National Day Holiday

To date, NIO has deployed 8,280 charging and swap stations nationwide, including 3,520 power swap stations and 4,760 charging stations.

On October 10, NIO Inc. released its user energy consumption report for China’s 2025 National Day holiday period.

From October 1 to October 8, NIO Power provided over 1.9 million charging and power swap services to users, including more than 1.09 million power swaps and over 820,000 charging sessions, with swaps accounting for the majority.

During the travel peak on October 1, single-day power swaps reached 145,955, setting a new record. On October 7, the return-peak swap volume hit 143,120, averaging one vehicle completing a power swap every 0.6 seconds.

Swap volumes remained above 130,000 daily for seven consecutive days, representing a tenfold increase compared with previous periods.

In terms of mileage, users collectively drove over 490 million kilometers during the holiday, with 511 users traveling more than 5,000 km individually.

Backend data indicates 207,149 users opted for full-route power swaps. One user covered over 4,000 km across six provinces and 18 cities.

Power swap has become the preferred energy replenishment method for NIO and ONVO users on highways, accounting for 80% of energy added on expressways.

To date, NIO has constructed 1,002 highway power swap stations, covering the “9 verticals, 11 horizontals, 16 major city clusters” high-speed swap network.

Beyond highways, NIO has established swap stations in over 1,200 districts and counties, achieving full county-level swap coverage in regions including Beijing, Shanghai, Macau, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Tianjin, Chongqing, and Hainan.

Regarding long-distance swap routes, NIO’s G318 Sichuan-Tibet line has become a popular corridor with 15 stations along the route.

Since offering free full-route swaps from August, year-on-year users traveling to Tibet increased by 252%, equivalent to almost one year of user trips prior to the network’s completion.

Leveraging its swap system, NIO Power provided 21,404 battery upgrade services during the holiday, with 5,569 users sharing their long-range batteries.

To date, NIO has deployed 8,280 charging and power swap stations nationwide, including 3,520 power swap stations delivering over 88 million swap services, and 4,760 charging stations with 27,258 charging posts, providing over 72 million charging sessions cumulatively.
