In terms of technology and product development, GAC is accelerating its push into intelligentization. R&D investment for 2025 is expected to exceed RMB 10 billion ($1.4 billion). The ADiGO GSD intelligent driving system, which integrates generative AI and end-to-end models, now covers 99.9% of road scenarios and over 99.5% of parking types.

On the collaboration front, in September, GAC and Huawei finalized the design of their first high-end EV under the new “Qijing” brand, set for market launch in mid-2026.

In October, GAC also partnered with JD.com and CATL to introduce the Aion UT super, dubbed the “National Accessible Car,” featuring the GAC Huawei Cloud in-car system. The model is scheduled for launch during China’s Double 11 shopping festival this year.

Overseas expansion remains a key growth driver for GAC. In the first three quarters, overseas terminal sales rose 36.5% year-on-year, with operations spanning 85 countries and regions, supported by more than 570 sales outlets, five overseas plants, and seven transit hubs.

In the third quarter, GAC entered new European markets including the UK, Poland, Portugal, and Finland. The company plans to deliver its global models AION V and AION UT in Europe by Q1 2026 and aims for full market coverage across Europe by 2028.
