CATL will supply power batteries for JAC’s entire vehicle lineup and provide technical support in areas such as supply chain safety and technology upgrades.
On October 27, CATL announced the signing of a deepened long-term strategic cooperation agreement with JAC Group in Hefei, Anhui Province, on October 25.
The two companies will collaborate extensively on technology innovation, supply chain security, and global market expansion.
Under the agreement, CATL will supply power batteries for JAC’s entire vehicle lineup and provide technical support in areas such as supply chain safety and technology upgrades.
The partnership will focus on key domains including ultra-fast charging, battery life extension, dual-core systems, CIIC integrated intelligent chassis, battery-swapping ecosystems, and battery data applications, accelerating the industrialization of new technologies.
The signing ceremony was attended by JAC Group Party Secretary and Chairman Xiang Xingchu and CATL Chairman Robin Zeng.

Both parties said they would deepen their long-term cooperation within JAC’s “integrated and clustered” supply chain framework, achieving resource sharing and complementary advantages.
This new agreement builds on the collaboration between the two sides over the past year. In January 2024, CATL and JAC signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly promote the development and implementation of the CIIC integrated intelligent chassis technology, also known as the “skateboard chassis.”
In January 2025, JAC’s subsidiary JAC Yiwei and CATL’s subsidiary Times Intelligent signed a technical cooperation agreement to develop vehicle projects based on the CIIC platform, with plans to launch multiple new models for various market segments.
In July 2025, JAC, CATL, and CATL’s energy service subsidiary Times Electric completed the joint testing of China’s first “Choco-Swap” system for commercial vehicles, successfully completing a battery swap within 150 seconds. The test provided valuable data for mass production and the wider rollout of battery-swapping solutions.

Beyond technology cooperation, the two companies will also jointly expand into international markets.
They plan to co-develop new energy vehicles tailored to different regulatory environments and user demands, accelerating the overseas presence of JAC’s brands including JAC, Yiwei, Refine, and Ankai.
