This represents Tesla China’s second-highest shipment volume this year, only surpassed by the wholesale volume in September.
On December 3rd, the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) released the wholesale sales ranking of new energy passenger vehicle manufacturers for November 2025.
As the year-end expiration of the NEV purchase tax exemption policy approached, the November auto market entered a year-end rush purchase phase. Coupled with manufacturers’ “Double 11(Shopping Festivals in the Chinese Market)” promotional campaigns, market activity continued to climb.
Data shows that in November, Chinese passenger car manufacturers wholesaled 1.72 million new energy vehicles, representing a year-on-year increase of 20% and a month-on-month increase of 7%. The comprehensive estimated cumulative wholesale volume from January to November this year is 13.78 million units, a year-on-year increase of 29%.
Among them, Tesla China’s wholesale sales in November were 86,700 units, a year-on-year increase of 9.9% and a month-on-month increase of 41%.
This marks Tesla China’s second-highest shipment volume this year, second only to the wholesale volume in September. Simultaneously, compared to the 32.3% month-on-month sales decline in October this year, this month’s sales show a clear “wave-like” rebound characteristic.
Despite the sales recovery, Tesla China’s ranking in the new energy market has declined. In the November manufacturer sales ranking, Tesla dropped out of the top five, placing sixth.
The top five spots on the list are held by BYD, Geely, Chery, SAIC-GM-Wuling, and Changan Automobile, respectively.
Among them, BYD maintains a commanding lead with sales of 474,921 units. Geely secured second place with sales of 187,798 units, while Chery Automobile, with sales of 111,346 units, successfully rose from fifth to third place.
