Changan targets 5 million vehicle production and sales by 2030, with NEVs accounting for more than 60% and overseas markets exceeding 30%.
On December 10, Changan Automobile marked a major production milestone as its 30 millionth China-brand vehicle — the Avatr 12 equipped with a quad-LiDAR setup—rolled off the line at the Avatr smart-manufacturing plant in Chongqing, China.
This makes Changan the fastest Chinese carmaker to reach the 30-million milestone.

Data shows that Changan took 30 years to reach its first 10 million vehicles in 2014. It then required seven years to reach the 20-million milestone in 2021, and only four and a half years to cross from 20 million to 30 million in 2025.
At the rollout ceremony, Changan Chairman Zhu Huarong reaffirmed the company’s 2030 target of 5 million vehicle production and sales, with NEVs accounting for more than 60% and overseas markets exceeding 30%.
Intelligent technology will form the other pillar of Changan’s future strategy. The company is advancing its “Tianshu Intelligence” technology brand across core domains including autonomous driving, chassis, and cockpit systems, pushing to commercialize end-to-end autonomous driving and multimodal large-model capabilities.

Beyond automobiles, Changan plans to expand into next-generation industrial chains. It aims to mass-produce humanoid robots by 2028 and launch flying cars for commercial operations by 2030.
Changan currently operates three digital-intelligence NEV brands: Avatr, Deepal, and Nevo.
Avatr, positioned in the premium segment, has recorded monthly sales above 10,000 units for nine consecutive months and plans to launch 17 new models by 2030 spanning sedans, SUVs, and MPVs.
Deepal targets the mid-to-high-end mainstream NEV segment, serving the RMB 150,000–300,000 ($21,000–$42,000) market.
Nevo’s cumulative deliveries have reached 700,000 units. Its global sales target for 2025 is 500,000 units, including 400,000 units in China and 100,000 units overseas.

Nevo is designed for global mainstream family users. Monthly sales reached 46,000 units in November, with sales targets of 1 million units in 2027 and 1.8 million units in 2030.
Latest data shows Changan delivered 283,000 vehicles in November, up 2.3% year-on-year, including 125,000 NEVs, a 23% increase. Overseas sales totaled 55,000 units, up 47%.
In the first 11 months of the year, Changan sold 2.6582 million vehicles, up 9.3% year-on-year. NEV sales reached nearly 995,000 units, while overseas sales hit 583,900 units.
