The ONVO L90 has become the first large three-row SUV to achieve dual five-star certification under CATARC’s 2024 new testing protocols.
China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC) Auto Testing and Management Center recently announced that the ONVO L90 Pro six-seater version has received a full five-star rating in the C-GCAP assessment (the highest level being six stars). It has also become the first large three-row SUV to achieve dual five-star certifications under CATARC’s 2024 new regulations.
The C-GCAP evaluation system was launched in 2024. It focuses on comprehensively assessing a vehicle’s green performance across three dimensions: Health, Energy Efficiency, and Low-Carbon. It complements the C-NCAP system, which primarily focuses on collision safety, providing users with more comprehensive car-purchasing reference.
Now, let’s look at the specific scores of the L90 in the evaluation items.
Health
This project provides a comprehensive evaluation of a vehicle’s health level from dimensions such as in-cabin air quality, healthy materials, and electromagnetic protection.
The ONVO L90 scored 93.3 points, higher than the average score of 91 points among evaluated models. Notably, it achieved a perfect score of 100 points in the electromagnetic protection category.

Energy Efficiency
This project provides a comprehensive assessment of a vehicle’s energy efficiency level based on its powertrain type, covering dimensions like fuel consumption, electricity consumption, range, and charging.
The ONVO L90 scored 92.9 points, also higher than the average of 91.4 points.
It is worth noting that the model scored 88.2 points in the range assessment. Within this, the high-speed range reduction rate was 42.9%, and the low-temperature range reduction rate was 33.2%.
It achieved a perfect score of 100 points in the charging assessment. The evaluation determined its normal temperature charging and low-temperature charging times to be 25 minutes and 32 minutes, respectively.

Low-Carbon
This project comprehensively evaluates a vehicle’s low-carbon level from dimensions such as carbon emissions. The ONVO L90 scored 100 points, while the average score among evaluated models is 95.7 points.
Referring to the carbon emission proportion across this model’s lifecycle stages, the vehicle production phase accounts for only 1.6%. The vehicle use phase and material production phase account for 53.4% and 45%, respectively.
