The Nürburgring Nordschleife is known for its challenging mixed surfaces and extreme loads.

A lap time reflects total vehicle performance, including chassis tuning, power delivery, brakes and thermal management.

The YU7 GT’s result validates Chinese EV makers’ engineering strength in high‑performance SUVs.

Xiaomi’s SU7 Ultra previously reset the Nürburgring pure‑EV sedan record multiple times. The YU7 GT test adds another public proof point for Xiaomi’s performance technology roadmap.

More Chinese cars are now lapping the Nürburgring. This is not just about speed, but reflecting China’s NEV industry reaching world‑class levels in battery tech, chassis engineering and aerodynamics.
