On the same day, ZYT also announced the launch of a next-generation intelligent driving proof-of-concept (POC) cooperation project with Volkswagen Group.

The test vehicle will be Volkswagen’s all-electric MPV, the ID. Buzz.

Under the plan, the Chinese-developed intelligent driving solution will undergo testing in real European road environments.

Braunschweig itself is one of Volkswagen Group’s key R&D bases. ZYT’s decision to locate its European headquarters there appears aimed not only at geographic convenience, but also at gaining closer access to Volkswagen’s engineering ecosystem and local supply chain resources.

In the commercial vehicle sector, ZYT stated that it is promoting intelligent assisted-driving cooperation projects with Sinotruk for European customers.

Also on May 27, ZYT officially introduced its latest core technology architecture to the European market — a native multimodal foundation model.

The company said the platform will support multiple vertical applications, including passenger vehicles, heavy-duty commercial trucks, buses, unmanned logistics systems and embodied AI, with on-road testing in Europe scheduled to begin soon.

To date, ZYT has provided intelligent driving solutions for more than 130 vehicle models globally and has partnered with 34 companies.
