Leapmotor has reached a new milestone in the UK market, according to information released by Stellantis Media.
Since entering the UK, the brand has surpassed 11,000 cumulative vehicle registrations and secured a market share of more than 1%.
Data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) show that Leapmotor registered 2,150 new vehicles in the UK in June 2026, more than 15 times higher than a year earlier and the brand’s highest monthly total since entering the market.
During the month, Leapmotor accounted for about 1% of the overall UK new car market and captured a 3% share of the battery electric vehicle (BEV) segment.

In the first six months of the year, the brand registered 6,770 vehicles, up 1,149% year-on-year.
Viewed over a longer timeframe, Leapmotor officially entered the UK market only in the spring of last year.
It registered 4,273 vehicles throughout 2025, meaning first-half 2026 registrations have already comfortably surpassed last year’s full-year total.
So far this year, Leapmotor ranks as the third-largest Chinese brand in the UK’s battery electric passenger vehicle market and ninth among all BEV passenger car brands.
Private retail buyers have been the primary driver of the company’s growth.
To date, more than 63% of Leapmotor’s UK sales have come from private customers, significantly above the industry average of 31% for private EV purchases in the UK.

An expanding product portfolio has also supported sales growth. Leapmotor now offers five battery electric models in the UK, with the T03 remaining its highest-volume vehicle.
Last week, the company increased the official incentive for the T03 to £3,000, lowering the recommended on-the-road price for private buyers to £12,995 ($17,401).
Leapmotor is also continuing to broaden its lineup. Orders opened last week for the all-electric B05 hatchback, which starts at £28,995 ($38,830) after incentives.
The mid-size B10 SUV will be available in both battery electric and extended-range variants.
The BEV version starts at £30,495 ($40,840) after incentives, while orders for the EREV version are scheduled to open in late summer this year.
Under its product rollout plan, Leapmotor will also introduce the compact SUV B03X (A10 in China) during 2026.

The model began accepting orders in continental Europe this week, with a starting price of €24,900 ($28,480).
The UK represents just one part of Leapmotor’s overseas expansion strategy.
Leveraging its partnership with Stellantis, the company continues to expand its European sales and distribution network.
In June, Leapmotor delivered 93,376 vehicles globally, up 95% year-on-year and setting a new monthly delivery record.
First-half deliveries approached 360,000 units, including nearly 100,000 exported vehicles, already exceeding the company’s total overseas exports for all of last year.
