- Zeekr tops 10,000 Australian sales in under two years, driven by a 2026 acceleration.
- Zeekr 7X surged to 1,892 July deliveries, cracking Australia’s top 10 best‑selling models.
- Zeekr expands retail to 18 stores and plans three more models plus 25 outlets by year‑end.
On August 11, Zeekr Australia announced that its cumulative sales in the local market had surpassed 10,000 units.
In less than two years since entering the local market, Zeekr has expanded from a single model to establishing a multi-model lineup, with sales accelerating significantly in 2026.

Zeekr officially entered the Australian market in October 2024, launching its first model, the Zeekr X, with a starting price of A$56,900.
In November of the same year, the Zeekr 009 MPV was introduced locally, further expanding the brand’s coverage into premium family and business mobility segments.
In August 2025, the Zeekr 7X all-electric SUV joined the lineup, bringing the brand’s Australian portfolio to three models.
The surge in sales has been primarily driven by the 7X. According to data from the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI), Zeekr delivered 2,115 vehicles in Australia in July 2026, up 2,837.5% year-on-year.

The brand exceeded 2,000 monthly deliveries for the first time and set a new sales record in Australia for the fourth consecutive month, ranking ahead of brands including Volkswagen, Nissan, and BMW in the local market.
Among them, the Zeekr 7X recorded 1,892 deliveries in July, reaching a new monthly high since launch and entering Australia’s top 10 best-selling models for the month.
The 7X outsold the Mazda CX-5, which recorded 1,836 units, and trailed only Geely’s EX5 from the same parent group by around 150 units, with the latter selling 2,034 units.

Meanwhile, the Zeekr X has also become a steady contributor to overall sales.
The updated Zeekr X, launched in Australia this May, notched 211 deliveries in its debut month on the market, marking a 229.7% increase compared with the same period in 2025.
Zeekr’s sales growth also reflects the broader expansion of China-made new energy vehicles in the Australian market.
According to FCAI data, China-made vehicles (including Tesla and Polestar) reached sales of 38,555 units in Australia in July 2026, accounting for 37% of the country’s total automotive market.

As demand for electric vehicles continues to grow, Chinese brands including BYD, MG, Chery, and Great Wall Motor are also expanding their presence in Australia alongside Zeekr.
In terms of retail expansion, following the recent opening of a Gold Coast store, Zeekr now operates 18 offline retail locations across Australia and plans to increase that number to 25 by the end of the year.
To further expand its market presence, Zeekr plans to introduce three additional models in Australia over the next 18 months, including the 7GT electric wagon, the large plug-in hybrid SUV 8X, and the full-size plug-in hybrid SUV 9X.
