Avatr 06T is undergoing right-hand-drive road testing in the UK, signaling the Chinese electric shooting brake’s next step toward right-hand-drive markets.

Avatr has confirmed plans to launch the 06T in Thailand by the end of this year. The brand also plans to expand into the UK, Australia and other right-hand-drive markets in 2027.

The 06T is positioned as a performance-focused electric shooting brake. China offers several powertrain options.

The range-topping Performance version uses a three-motor AWD system. Combined output reaches 712 kW, with peak torque of 996 Nm. An 87.3 kWh LFP battery supplies power. The car can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 2.78 seconds.

The Max version uses dual-motor AWD, producing 502 kW with 750 Nm of peak torque. The entry Elite version also uses dual motors, with 450 kW of combined output.

China also gets an EREV version. It pairs a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a 45.1 kWh battery. Combined system output reaches 370 kW. CLTC electric range stands at 300 km, while combined range reaches up to 1,200 km.

The Thailand-bound 06T has so far been confirmed only with a pure-electric powertrain. Avatr has yet to disclose which powertrain options will reach the UK or Australia.

The chassis uses double-wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension. Higher trims get adaptive dampers, while the Performance version adds air suspension.

Inside, the 06T features a 35.4-inch integrated instrument display, a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, plus 6.7-inch digital exterior mirror displays. Higher trims add a 25-speaker Meridian audio system, 14-way power seats, ventilation, heating and massage functions.

Zeekr 7GT

The top-spec 06T Performance starts at RMB 279.9K ($41.6K) in China. That is about RMB 36K ($5.4K) above the range-topping Zeekr 7GT. Both sit in China’s RMB 200K-300K ($29.8K-$44.6K) electric performance shooting-brake segment.

Zeekr 7GT entered 16 European markets in July 2026. European pricing starts at €45,990 ($53.7K). The long-range RWD version costs €50,990 ($59.5K), while the AWD launch edition is priced at €57,490 ($67.1K).

Avatr is expected to position the 06T close to the Zeekr 7GT in Europe. Its entry price could land near €46,000 ($53.7K). If confirmed, the two Chinese electric shooting brakes will face off directly in Europe, competing on performance, range, technology and pricing.

Avatr 07 test vehicle spotted in Australia.

The 06T is now the third Avatr model developed in a right-hand-drive version. The other two are the Avatr 07 and Avatr 11. In May, the Avatr 07 was spotted testing in Melbourne, Australia.
