- Leapmotor has launched the B03X small electric SUV in Hong Kong, leveraging strong domestic A10 demand to push overseas expansion amid regional tax and certification headwinds.
- The B03X is priced at HK$199,900 with an early-bird HK$189,900 (about $24,200) offer through end-2026; China A10 retail range was RMB 65,800–86,800.
- The model targets urban compact-SUV buyers and rivals mass-market Chinese EVs, but faces higher local costs, right-hand-drive certification, and scaling risks for after-sales support.
On Sept. 19, Leapmotor announced that its B03X, a small battery-electric SUV, had officially entered the Hong Kong market.
Pre-orders are now open at the company’s Experience Center in Cityplaza.
The B03X is priced at HK$199,900 ($25,480), with an early-bird price of HK$189,900 ($24,200). The offer runs through the end of 2026.

The B03X is the overseas version of Leapmotor’s A10. The mainland China version went on sale in March 2026, priced at RMB 65,800-86,800 ($9,820-$12,960).
By comparison, the Hong Kong model is priced at nearly twice the mainland level.
The gap is mainly attributable to first-registration tax and the costs of local certification for the right-hand-drive version.
Since Hong Kong’s “One-for-One” replacement scheme ended on March 31, 2026, EVs have no longer been exempt from first-registration tax, directly raising the on-road prices of imported electric vehicles.

Leapmotor has been in Hong Kong for a relatively short time.
In June 2025, the brand opened its first Hong Kong outlet, the Cityplaza Experience Center, which was also its 1,500th official store worldwide.
The company has since opened a showroom in Kowloon Bay and an after-sales service center in Kwun Tong, establishing an initial local network for customer experience, sales consultation, maintenance and repairs.
Leapmotor had previously introduced four models in Hong Kong: the C10, B10, T03 and B05. The B03X becomes the fifth model in its local lineup.
The Hong Kong launch is also Leapmotor’s second overseas market introduction in September.
On Sept. 11, the B03X entered Europe through Leapmotor’s joint venture channel with Stellantis, with a starting price of €24,900 ($28,580).

The B03X’s successive entries into multiple overseas markets are backed by strong sales performance of its domestic counterpart, the A10.
In August, A10 sales reached 30,652 units, making it the best-selling SUV across all segments for a second consecutive month.
It also ranked second in overall passenger-vehicle retail sales nationwide, behind only Geely’s Xingyuan.
Meanwhile, Leapmotor delivered 103,129 vehicles globally in August, up 80.7% year over year, topping 100,000 units for a second consecutive month.
