According to official data, SHARK exports totaled 23,246 units from January to May this year, primarily to emerging markets including Latin America, Australia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.

Built on BYD’s DMO Super Hybrid Off-Road Platform, the SHARK features a plug-in hybrid system delivering a combined range of 840 km and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 5.7 seconds. Its electric four-wheel-drive architecture provides robust off-road capabilities.

For smart features, the SHARK is equipped with a rotatable central touchscreen, full LCD instrument panel, 540-degree surround view camera, W-HUD head-up display, and NFC digital key—positioning it competitively against mainstream premium pickups.

This entry into Bhutan further expands BYD’s footprint in South Asia. As global rollouts accelerate, the SHARK is poised to strengthen its market presence in the still-emerging blue ocean of new energy pickup trucks.
