ONVO L90 to Open Pre-Sale in Early July, Interior Space Emerges as Key Highlight

ONVO CEO Shen Fei announced today on Weibo that the ONVO L90 showroom vehicles will arrive in early July, coinciding with the official start of pre-sale.

Shen placed particular emphasis on the vehicle’s interior space, highlighting its suitability for families: “Three-row comfort for sleeping, and double the luggage capacity.” This clearly signals a targeted improvement over the cramped third-row seating often seen in midsize and full-size SUVs.

As ONVO’s second model, the L90 has drawn significant attention since its initial reveal. On one hand, it is the NIO Group’s second three-row SUV after the second-generation ES8—offering even larger dimensions, with a length exceeding 5.1 meters and a width nearing 2 meters. On the other hand, the underwhelming sales performance of ONVO’s debut model, the L60, has raised questions about the L90’s commercial prospects.

To date, the L90’s exterior design, powertrain configurations, and range specifications have all been disclosed. The only missing detail remains its interior design, which has yet to be officially unveiled.

In terms of efficiency, the L90 comes standard with an 85-kWh battery pack. The CLTC-rated range reaches 605 km for the rear-wheel-drive version and 570 km for the all-wheel-drive variant. Energy consumption figures are equally notable: 14.5 kWh/100 km for the RWD model and just 15.4 kWh/100 km for the AWD version—impressive numbers for a vehicle of this size.

Recent hands-on previews by automotive bloggers have begun to offer early feedback, with many praising the L90’s cabin space. The third row, in particular, delivers unexpectedly generous legroom and headroom, making it viable for adult passengers even on longer journeys. Moreover, with four passengers onboard, the trunk can reportedly fit up to 18 suitcases, including a 30-inch large case—an exceptional figure well beyond segment norms.

Overall, the L90’s approach to spatial design and practicality appears promising. However, its ultimate market performance will hinge on whether ONVO can deliver a pricing strategy that resonates with consumers.
