- ONVO’s L90 hit 60,000 deliveries in under a year, proving rapid market traction.
- Sales momentum slowed as internal NIO models (ES8) and ONVO L80 cannibalized demand.
- 2026 L90 adds Shenji NX9031 chip, optional LiDAR, battery-swap and advanced world-model driving.
NIO’s brand ONVO announced that its flagship all-electric SUV L90 has surpassed 60K deliveries.
The 60K-th L90 was delivered in Huzhou, Zhejiang province, to an extreme adventure enthusiast. The vehicle also marked NIO’s 10K-th delivery in Huzhou.

The L90 is ONVO’s second model after the L60. It launched in July 2025, with deliveries starting in August. The model reached 60K deliveries in less than one year after entering the market.
The L90 saw a fast sales ramp-up after launch, with monthly deliveries exceeding 10K units during its first three months. Sales later slowed gradually, with deliveries reaching 2,066 units in April, 4,052 units in May, and 3,457 units in June.
After cumulative deliveries surpassed 50K units on April 3, the L90 added another 10K units over the following three and a half months.
The recent slowdown has been linked to rising competition, along with internal positioning changes within NIO’s lineup. After the NIO ES8 began deliveries in October 2025, some potential L90 buyers shifted toward the higher-positioned NIO-branded model. The ONVO L80 also diverted part of the waiting demand.

The 2026 ONVO L90 launched in April, with deliveries starting in May. The updated model is the first to feature NIO’s self-developed 5nm Shenji NX9031 smart driving chip, while adding an optional LiDAR version.
The L90 is also the first ONVO model equipped with NIO’s world-model-based assisted driving system, supporting navigation assistance across highways, urban roads, parking areas, and battery-swap scenarios.
The L90 offers six-seat and seven-seat layouts, positioning it as a large all-electric SUV. The vehicle starts at RMB 265.8K ($39.3K), while the battery-as-a-service option lowers the entry price to RMB 179.8K ($26.6K).

The model supports NIO’s battery-swap network, completing a battery replacement in around three minutes. Combined with its 900V high-voltage architecture, the L90 aims to differentiate itself through faster energy replenishment.
ONVO sales have continued recovering recently. The brand delivered 11,743 vehicles in June, up 83.5% year on year. Its product lineup is also expanding. The large five-seat SUV L80 launched in May, while the L60 received an update in June, also adopting NIO’s Shenji NX9031 chip.
