AVATR Signs Deal with Kasrawy Group to Accelerate African Expansion

  1. AVATR will complete product rollout, channel development, and brand launch in Egypt within the next three months.
  2. Since its global debut in 2024, AVATR has entered markets including Thailand and the UAE, with its distribution network now spanning 25 countries and regions.

On July 7, AVATR Technology announced the signing of an exclusive distribution agreement with Egypt’s Kasrawy Group, officially marking its inaugural entry into the African market.

This move follows AVATR’s earlier expansions into the UAE, Qatar, and Jordan, and represents the brand’s first foothold in Africa—another key milestone in its broader global strategy across the Middle East and Africa.

According to the agreement, AVATR will complete product rollout, dealership network development, and brand activation in Egypt within the next three months. Kasrawy Group, a major local automotive player with over 40 years of experience, operates high-end brands such as Audi and Jaguar Land Rover, and currently holds a 20% market share in Egypt’s passenger car segment. The group brings strong localization capabilities to the partnership.

The collaboration not only opens AVATR’s first gateway into Africa, but also continues the company’s momentum in its “Middle East breakthrough” strategy.

Since kicking off its global roll-out in 2024, AVATR has expanded into markets such as Thailand and the UAE. Its distribution network now spans 25 countries and regions, with 55 signed dealership outlets. The company plans to expand into 50 global markets by 2025 and enter the European market in 2026.

AVATR’s product lineup—featuring sedans and SUVs including the AVATR 11, AVATR 12, AVATR 07, and AVATR 06—integrates Changan Auto’s vehicle platform, Huawei’s intelligent driving systems, and CATL’s battery technology, delivering a differentiated and competitive product offering.

From steady domestic growth to rapid overseas expansion, AVATR is advancing its globalization through a “technology export + local partnership” model.

Albeit still in its nascent stage, the Egypt agreement reflects a broader trend of Chinese smart EV brands exploring diversified international pathways. The capacity of Middle Eastern and African markets to embrace and support these vehicles will be crucial barometers of the global competitiveness of China’s next-generation automakers.
