The all-new XPeng P7 comes equipped with a 3-axis smart central display, touchpad controls, and an AR head-up display (HUD), blending intelligent features with practical design.
On August 5, XPeng officially unveiled the interior design details of the all-new XPeng P7, building anticipation for its official debut on August 6.
The released images focus on the front cabin. Compared to the current P7i, the new P7 brings a major interior upgrade while maintaining XPeng’s signature sporty and tech-forward design language.
The cabin design emphasizes minimalism, with clean horizontal lines on the dashboard contributing to a futuristic aesthetic. The driver gets a three-spoke sport steering wheel, which retains traditional physical buttons and adds dual rotary satellite knobs below — enabling one-touch access to intelligent driving assistance, suspension adjustment, and driver modes.

In front of the steering wheel is a slim, sporty instrument display screen that allows quick switching between music mode, driver mode, launch mode, and boost mode.

The front sports seats feature an integrated design with high-performance materials, using a combination of NAPPA leather and Dinamica suede. The driver seat’s active side bolsters respond to G-force changes in just 10 milliseconds when cornering, enhancing lateral support and dynamic comfort.
XPeng also revealed that the rear seat area has been significantly improved over the previous generation, offering a 97.6° seatback angle and a 10mm reduction in seat height for improved comfort.

Moving to the center console, the new P7 is fitted with a 15.6-inch 3-axis adjustable smart screen, capable of rotating 15° left/right and 10° up/down. This multi-angle adjustability enhances visibility and interaction from various seating positions and opens up new possibilities for in-car experiences. According to XPeng, the screen supports features like intelligent wake-up gestures, directional sliding, a “sentinel” mode with lifelike responses, and even nod recognition from the user.

Additionally, the car is equipped with an 87-inch panoramic AR HUD that displays lane-level AR navigation, AR-assisted driving, AR safety alerts, and interactive AR gaming, adding a new dimension to in-car entertainment.

Tech elements extend to the door panels as well. A Touch Pad smart control panel, located in front of the window switches, allows intuitive access to features such as seat heating, ventilation, massage, front trunk opening, tailgate control, and charging port cover — significantly reducing the learning curve for new users.

Beyond visible hardware and features, XPeng also focused on day-to-day user convenience. For instance, the front doors now include drainage-equipped umbrella slots, and the trunk accommodates long umbrellas with a maximum storage capacity of 631 liters.
In contrast to the often minimalist tech designs on the market, the new XPeng P7 fully integrates the brand’s latest intelligent innovations with a bolder, more futuristic design, targeting the 250,000 RMB ($35,000)-level sport sedan segment. It aims to offer users a distinctly new driving and ownership experience.
The all-new XPeng P7 will officially debut on the evening of August 5 and is expected to be priced between 250,000 to 300,000 RMB ($35,000–$42,000), positioning it as a direct competitor to the Zeekr 007 and Tesla Model 3.
