The first-generation XPeng P7 was launched in 2020, and has accumulated over 200,000 owners.
On July 30, XPeng CEO He Xiaopeng officially announced the arrival of the all-new XPeng P7, which will make its debut on August 6 in Beijing, China.
He Xiaopeng stated that the new P7 is positioned as a stylish luxury sedan, a “dream car for the future” created by a collaborative design team from China and abroad.

The futuristic design of the new P7 is mainly attributed to its “cyber aesthetics.” The front face breaks conventions with an “X-shaped light effect” running through the light strip, coupled with split headlamp units. The rear end continues the sleek coupe design but with sharper lines and a more sculptural surface design. The addition of an active rear spoiler and scissor doors gives the car an “intergalactic mech” style.
The official images of the new P7 feature a metallic green exterior color, which is darker than the “Starry Green” color of the P7i. Previous road-test spy photos showed that the car will also offer purple and blue color options with lower saturation, although official naming for these colors has not been announced.

On May 23 of this year, the all-new P7 was officially filed with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
According to official data, the new P7 measures 5017mm in length, 1970mm in width, and 1427mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3008mm. Compared to the current P7i, the car length increases by 129mm, width by 74mm, height decreases by 23mm, and the wheelbase grows by 10mm. The coupe design contributes to a lower drag coefficient.
In terms of power and range, the new P7 offers two battery options: 74.9kWh and 92.2kWh, with a CLTC range of 702km to 820km. The rear-wheel-drive version has a motor power of 270kW, while the all-wheel-drive version offers 167kW in the front and 270kW in the rear.
The new P7 is built on the SEPA 3.0 platform, equipped with an 800V high-voltage system and 3C battery cells as standard. In terms of intelligent driving, it features the XPeng Turing AI chip and a purely vision-based assisted driving system, supporting urban and highway NGP functions.
As a strategic model for brand renewal, the all-new P7 focuses on ultra-long range, the 800V high-voltage platform, and the self-developed pure vision-assisted driving system as its core selling points, directly competing with models like the Xiaomi SU7 and BYD Han. Whether the new P7 can break through the balance of intelligence and performance will be one of the biggest highlights in the second half of the year’s electric sedan market.
