August data showed that growth in Germany’s new-car market was driven increasingly by electrified vehicles rather than a recovery in conventional powertrains.
As demand for EVs continues to expand in Germany, Chinese brands are also rapidly increasing their market presence.

Volkswagen registered 32,233 vehicles in August, down 14% year on year, but remained Germany’s best-selling individual brand.
Meanwhile, Porsche registraions fell 10%, Audi declined 16.5% and Opel dropped 8.7%.
