The two parties will collaborate in the field of new energy vehicle energy replenishment ecosystem and battery aftermarket services.
On October 15, CATL and JD.com signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
The collaboration covers multiple areas including battery consumer market omni-channel services, green transportation capacity, logistics warehousing and distribution, zero-carbon parks, digitalization of industrial supply chains, administrative supplies and employee integrated services, data centers, and accompanying services for overseas business development.
In the field of new energy vehicle energy replenishment ecosystem, the two parties will jointly establish official direct sales channels for the “Choco SE” battery swap model, actively promote the innovative battery separation model, and advance vehicle sales equipped with this technology, thereby enhancing user experience in energy replenishment efficiency and usage costs.

Regarding battery aftermarket services, leveraging JD Car Maintenance’s nationwide service network, the two companies will collaborate on battery testing, maintenance, recycling, and related businesses. This partnership will provide new energy vehicle owners with more professional and convenient full-lifecycle services, improving the new energy vehicle aftermarket service system.
In the heavy-duty truck electrification transformation sector, based on CATL’s Qiji heavy-duty truck battery swap solution and JD’s line-haul logistics transportation system, the two parties will comprehensively promote cooperation in areas including trunk transportation, efficient energy replenishment, and zero-carbon park construction. Utilizing JD’s nationwide logistics network, they will pilot practical applications of battery-swapping heavy-duty trucks, with CATL supporting JD’s electrification upgrade in heavy-duty truck transportation.

Simultaneously, the two companies will jointly plan battery swap station layouts by integrating key nodes such as JD’s storage logistics parks and major transportation routes. This will establish an efficient energy replenishment network connecting trunk transportation and park scenarios, enhancing logistics operational sustainability and energy utilization efficiency.
Furthermore, CATL will provide JD’s industrial parks and logistics hubs with integrated green energy solutions combining photovoltaic power generation, energy storage, charging, and battery swapping – the comprehensive “PV-storage-charging-swapping” system.
