NIO Group plans to launch several models in the local market, including the NIO-branded EL6, EL8, ET5, ET5 Touring, as well as the premium compact car firefly.
On June 3, NIO announced its European market expansion plan, stating that it will gradually enter seven European countries between 2025 and 2026, including Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxembourg, Poland, and Romania.
In the Austrian market, NIO will adopt the National Total Agent model, collaborating with the Central and Eastern European mobility services group AutoWallis to jointly develop the Central and Eastern European markets.
NIO’s plan to enter the Austrian market has recently made new progress.
Public information shows that NIO’s local sales website has recently gone live.
The website indicates that the NIO Group plans to launch several models in the local market, including the NIO-branded EL6, EL8, ET5, ET5 Touring, as well as the premium compact car firefly.
According to the plan, the collaboration between NIO and AutoWallis will be implemented in phases. In 2025, it will first cover the Austrian and Hungarian markets; in 2026, deliveries will commence in the Czech Republic, Poland, and Romania.
The expansion in the European market is only one part of NIO’s global strategy. In addition to the seven European countries mentioned earlier, NIO will also enter the markets of Singapore, Uzbekistan, and Costa Rica between 2025 and 2026.
According to official data, as of October 1, NIO has delivered a cumulative total of 872,785 new vehicles. Among these, the NIO brand has delivered 762,176 vehicles, the ONVO brand has delivered 90,279 vehicles, and the firefly brand has delivered 20,330 vehicles.
