Buick Electra Encasa MPV to Debut at 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show, Launch in Q4

The new model is estimated to be priced between RMB 400,000 and 500,000, and will directly compete with vehicles like the Zeekr 009 and Li Auto MEGA upon its launch.

Recently, Buick announced that its new flagship MPV, the Electra Encasa, will debut at the 23rd Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition in 2025 and officially launch in the fourth quarter.

Positioned as a premium new energy MPV built on the “Xiaoyao” Super Integrated Architecture, it will offer both plug-in hybrid and all-electric powertrain options. With an estimated price range of 400,000–500,000 RMB, it targets the high-end new energy MPV market.

According to regulatory filings, the Electra Encasa measures 5260/2000/1835 mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 3160 mm. These dimensions surpass those of the Buick Century across the board—30 mm longer, 40 mm wider, and also 30 mm greater in wheelbase.

The plug-in hybrid variant is equipped with a 1.5T engine and a 200 kW electric motor, paired with a 40.9 kWh LFP battery. It offers an all-electric range of 171–180 km and a fuel consumption of 6.83–7.3 L/100 km. The all-electric version provides both single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD configurations. The single-motor model delivers a maximum power of 332 kW, while the dual-motor setup features front and rear motors rated at 332 kW and 150 kW, respectively. Both versions have a top speed of 180 km/h.

In terms of smart technology, the interior features an 8-screen digital space, including a wraparound triple panoramic display at the front and a 21-inch 4K rear cabin entertainment screen. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a 50-inch AR-HUD system.

For intelligent driving, it incorporates a lidar and multi-sensor fusion solution, powered by the Qualcomm 8775 chip, enabling urban NOA and full-scenario parking functions.

Comfort and convenience features include cloud-platform-style ultra-low air suspension, gesture-controlled sliding doors, adaptive zero-gravity seats, and a built-in refrigerator—maximizing the comfort experience.

As the flagship MPV under Buick’s premium new energy sub-brand, the Electra Encasa is estimated to be priced between 400,000 and 500,000 RMB. Upon launch, it will compete directly with models like the Zeekr 009 and Li Auto MEGA.

Meanwhile, Buick plans to introduce six all-new new energy models based on the “Xiaoyao” architecture within the next 12 months, aiming to achieve comprehensive coverage of mainstream price segments.
