XPeng Plans Overseas Local Supply Chain Teams in Europe and ASEAN

XPeng has now entered 60 countries and regions worldwide, established 9 R&D centers, and is advancing 3 overseas localized production projects.

According to a Chinese media report on January 13, XPeng plans to establish independently operated, localized overseas supply chain teams in Europe and ASEAN markets starting in 2026.

The move builds on local production initiatives already launched in Europe and Southeast Asia in 2025, and is intended to strengthen overseas supply sourcing and operations.

It also aims to improve supply chain responsiveness and advance XPeng’s long-term strategy of “rooted locally, produced locally, supplied globally.”

As XPeng’s overseas sales scale continues to expand, reliance solely on China-based supply systems has become increasingly insufficient in addressing delivery cycles, cost control, and regulatory compliance.

Operating localized supply chains independently is expected to give XPeng greater autonomy in key components, manufacturing coordination, and delivery scheduling.

XPeng has now entered 60 countries and regions worldwide, established nine R&D centers, and is advancing three overseas production bases in Indonesia, Austria, and Malaysia.

At the same time, XPeng’s charging network spans 31 countries and regions, with access to more than 2.66 million chargers. Its self-operated network covers over 430 cities and includes 3,150 proprietary charging stations.

Progress on the product front is also laying the groundwork for deeper supply chain localization.

According to official data, XPeng delivered a total of 429,445 vehicles from January to December 2025.

Overseas deliveries reached 45,008 units, up 96% year-on-year, and XPeng ranked first among new-brand EV makers in sales across 10 countries for 11 consecutive months.

In a recent interview, XPeng Chairman He Xiaopeng said the company aims, over the next three, five, or even ten years, to bring overseas sales to parity with China, and potentially see international markets account for a larger share than domestic sales.
