By the end of 2025, cumulative sales of the Hongguang MINIEV family had exceeded 1.9 million units, ranking first in A00-class new energy vehicle sales for 65 consecutive months.
The fifth-generation Wuling Hongguang MINIEV officially made its debut today and is expected to be launched in the first half of 2026.
In fact, as early as the end of December 2025, this new model had already appeared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) catalog. Based on the declared data, here are the highlights of the fifth-generation MINIEV.
According to MIIT data, the fifth-generation Hongguang MINIEV measures 3,268 mm in length, 1,520 mm in width, and 1,575 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,190 mm. Compared to the current four-door version, both length and width have increased.
In addition, the new model has also declared a two-door version, measuring 3,043 mm in length, 1,520 mm in width, and 1,590 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,965 mm. Official images of this version have not yet been released.
From the official images, the fifth-generation Hongguang MINIEV retains the rounded design concept of its predecessor but features a refined overall style, with a fuller front fascia and more sculpted contours.
The front end is equipped with circular star-ring LED headlights, connected by a through-type chrome trim strip. Paired with circular decorative elements on both sides of the front bumper, this creates a retro aesthetic.
The side profile adopts a floating roof design, with blacked-out exterior mirrors. The C-pillar features a version with lettering embellishments, complemented by four-leaf clover wheel hub covers and other detailed elements.
The rear design echoes the front, also featuring circular taillights connected by a through-type chrome trim panel. The brand logo has been repositioned to the center of the tailgate.
According to MIIT declaration information, the fifth-generation Hongguang MINIEV is equipped with an electric motor with a maximum power of 30 kW, consistent with the current four-door version. It also uses a lithium iron phosphate battery and is expected to continue offering two CLTC range versions: 205 km and 301 km.
Since its launch in 2020, the Hongguang MINIEV has undergone multiple iterations, expanding from the initial two-door version to the GAMEBOY, convertible, and four-door versions, continuously broadening its product matrix and driving the domestic new energy commuter vehicle segment to new heights.

Notably, this time, the fifth-generation Hongguang MINIEV will also collaborate with the trendy IP “Q-Bao” on a crossover initiative, further unlocking the model’s playful attributes.
