Today, the NIO ES8 completed its 70,000th delivery in Wenzhou.

Since deliveries began on September 21, 2025, the all-new ES8 has demonstrated remarkable market momentum.

It took just 41 days to reach 10,000 deliveries, and by December 29, 2025, it had delivered 40,000 units in 100 days—making it the fastest model priced above RMB 400,000 to hit the 40,000-delivery mark, across all energy types. On February 1, 2026, the all-new ES8 completed its 60,000th delivery in Guangzhou, achieving this milestone in just 134 days.

Now, less than a month after reaching 60,000 deliveries, the all-new ES8 has reached its 70,000th delivery milestone. It’s worth noting that this period included a nine-day Spring Festival holiday.

Looking at the January 2026 sales comparison among top five large SUVs in popular cities, the NIO ES8 leads by a significant margin with 17,645 units sold—over 10,000 units ahead of the second-place AITO M8 (7,381 units), followed by the Zeekr 9X (6,603 units), AITO M9 (5,278 units), and IM LS9 (2,113 units).

Notably, among the top five models, the NIO ES8 is the only all-electric vehicle.

With the ES8 solidifying its position in the premium market, NIO is actively preparing a further upmarket model.

According to the company’s plan, the new flagship SUV ES9—positioned higher and featuring larger dimensions—is scheduled to hold its technology launch in April 2026, officially launch in May, and begin deliveries on June 1. The new model is expected to become NIO’s next growth driver.
