SAIC Z7 is expected to be priced between 250,000 and 350,000 RMB and will launch in the first quarter of 2026.
SAIC Motor and Huawei jointly launched the automotive brand SAIC, which has released a video showcasing the extreme cold weather testing of its first model, the SAIC Z7, in an undisguised form.
This also marks the first time the SAIC Z7 has been unveiled without camouflage. The video reveals that the new model adopts a long-nose streamlined coupe design, departing from HIMA’s previous OneBox style, with an overall aesthetic more aligned with the preferences of younger users.
Furthermore, the vehicle’s proportions are constructed using a 0.5 wheel-to-height ratio and a 4x wheelbase-to-axle ratio, creating a wide-body, low-stance visual effect.

From the front, the new model features independent headlight clusters with a split-lens optical path architecture inside. The dot-matrix light source structure within the lamp cavity, combined with the illuminated logo on the front end, offers high recognition.
The side profile is sleek, with the vehicle length expected to reach the five-meter class and a wheelbase exceeding 3000mm. Notably, the SAIC Z7 is equipped with frameless exterior mirrors, semi-concealed door handles, and an aerodynamically optimized roof-mounted LiDAR, resulting in a harmonious overall design.

Notably, regarding the overall silhouette of the SAIC Z7, some media outlets have commented that it bears a striking resemblance to the Porsche Taycan at first glance, even dubbing it the “Domestic Version of the Porsche Panamera.”
In response, the SAIC Z7 retains a high degree of originality in its details. A prime example is the rear end, which features the HIMA’s signature Galaxy Tail Light design. This design element was previously exclusive to the ‘9 Series’ models and theMAEXTRO S800, but this marks its first application on a ‘7 Series’ model.

Regarding the new car’s chassis and powertrain, these are the key highlights showcased in the SAIC Z7’s promotional video.
Officials state that the new model will be equipped throughout with the HUAWEI Tuling Platform, featuring the XMC intelligent chassis and body control system. In scenarios such as snow circle driving, split-mu road surfaces, snow handling, and split-mu hill starts, the vehicle maintained good stability and passability.
Additionally, the new model is built on the HUAWEI 800V high-voltage platform and will be available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions. The all-wheel drive version delivers a combined power output of 385kW, peak torque exceeding 700N·m, a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 3.9 seconds, and a CLTC range of over 700 km.

It is worth mentioning that as early as early January this year, a blogger shared a set of multi-angle spy photos suspected to be of the SAIC Z7 Shooting Brake version, indicating that this model is expected to have two variants.
In terms of product positioning, the SAIC Z7 is priced in the 25-350,000 RMB range and is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2026. Upon its release, it will form a sedan+SUV product combination with SAIC’s first model, the H5, filling the brand’s market gap.
