For vehicles within the recall scope, abnormal signals in the power management integrated circuit of the instrument controller may lead to lagging displays.

When turn signals are activated, the rear-side interface of the instrument panel display may show a green screen or similar faults, posing potential safety risks.

Jiangsu Yueda Kia will provide over-the-air (OTA) software upgrades free of charge for affected vehicles.

For vehicles that cannot be upgraded via OTA, authorized dealers will contact users to carry out recall measures and eliminate the safety hazard.

As a key model in Kia’s electrification strategy in China, the EV5 is its second pure electric product following the EV6.
